Mia's 49th blood transfusion

Mia really is the bravest girl in the world. She didn't make one sound getting the IV poke today, she didn't make a peep yesterday either getting the type & cross after the doctor's appointment. It was pretty much the same today...after her blood transfusion, she had the 4 hour desferral...which good news, her iron count is down from 1700's to 958 - yeah!!! We had a new nurse today...apparently new nurses can't give chemo to patients, and Mia was the only one there not getting chemo out of 6 beds. For that reason it makes for an emotionally exhausting day...to see other kids and their families, and think about what they must be going through. I must say, having thee best nurses ever sure helps tremendously.

I'm thankful to God that He only gives us what we can handle....

Mia's pretty tired too after a long day at the hospital. It's nice when we get home.

She truly is one very brave girl and cute at that too! Your attitude is amazing, Kristi. God does only give us what we can handle...sometimes it may seem like more, but it always works out for good to those who love HIM. PTL.

ps - i'm not updating my old blog anymore, my "new" one isn't private...for the time being :) just noticed you still had the other on your list!

What an absolute sweetie she is. I can't even imagine being there as often as you are and going through everything you do. She is very lucky to have you as her Mama! :)

Glad to hear the counts were down, PTL!! Mia looks so cute & love her 80's outfit. BTW, she is growing up so fast. I can't believe how tall she has gotten this last year :)
