Phoenix Mercury - Part 6

One cool thing about being blessed to go to all these Mercury games...is meeting new people. ike Trinity, a 2 time cancer survivor.

Mia just grabbed her wheel chair and off they went.

Mercury fans for life...these girls.

We LOVE Rebecca...she is behind the scenes doing all kinds of stuff. I'm sure no one knows how hard these people work to get the games and everything that goes on to run smoothly. It's amazing, and we are blessed to know them!

What?! Yep...Mercury #1.

I love this...go Coach Mia!

Oh these girls...just on the court doing their thing. haha

I got the chance to meet Bridget at Ahwatukee Crossfit...she has season tickets to all the Mercury games...an she recognized a tank I was wearing with Mia on it. She put off her surgery so she could make sure she could see the Mercury play. Amazing! And I'm happy to report she is doing great!

Phoenix Mercury - Part 5

We spent 2 days over Labor Day weekend and volunteered for Be The Match at the Chandler Mall.

Mia has Diamond Blackfan Anemia - which potentially could be cured if she received a bone marrow transplant. She doesn't have a perfect match. None of her 3 sisters are a sibling match (which has better survival rates) so we have to look else where. Like on the National Registry. Mia has her own Be The Match page.

It's just a cheek swab...it takes about 10 minutes, and YOU could be the CURE to someone like Mia. YOU could potentially BE THE MATCH to someone and save a life. You can order the kit to be sent to your house for FREE, if you are between the ages of 18-44 years of age. If you can't do the cheek swab, you can donate to Mia's page to help cover the costs of testing. It's $100 per test.

Mia's friends showed up to help...and volunteer.

Thanks for being supportive girls!!

I even had my sweet friend Melinda come donate money since she couldn't do the cheek swab! Thanks girl!

The Chandler Fire Department showed up and a few of them even did the Be The Match Challenge.

What nice guys, thank you Chandler Fire!

Mia and friends made a Challenge for Be the Match...

Thank you to all these sponsors...

And to my friend Brooke for coming with her babies to hang out with us!

Mia and Layla...

Mia and sweet baby Lucas...

Of course we had to take a break so Coach Mia could go watch the Phoenix Mercury game. They played away so we couldn't be there to watch.

But Mia still 'coached' in front of the TV.

There's DT3!!!

Well, the Mercury ended up losing by a few points...what a bummer. (That's because Mia wasn't there!)  But it was back to helping Be The Match!

These cute girls made a sign and brought it just so they could get a picture with Mia! How cute is that?!

Lots of people were happy to take the #BTMchallnege

Even our good friends the Wallace's...!!

Thank you to EVERYONE who came out and participated, they got close to 300 cheek swabs! Saving lives is the thing to do!! Whoo!

Phoenix Mercury - Part 4

The Phoenix Mercury wanted to do something nice for Mia and her sisters...like get their nails done. Mia took her friend Alex since the older ones had to be somewhere else and little sis Madi.

Madi was so excited she went first...Mercury colors please.

With little Mercury designs and all...too cute.

Coach Mia's turn...

They loved it, and what a great memory they have together.

Then it was off to watch the team warm up...hey there's Penny Taylor!!!

It was also a white out - so everyone wore white!! Getting ready for the team to run out.

They got awesome seats and awesome heads...haha.

Madison HAD to have the Penny Taylor head. She's obsessed. And they kind of look like twins.

They had SO much fun, I should have taken a video!

Mia on the court with her other coaches...

Talking with Coach Julie...

Starting line-up is so fun to watch!! Mia is out there doing her thing.

My sweet friend Kirsten came to hang out with me for the first half.

A sea of white...the nice guy said that the girls could come sit right on the court. Guess who the nice guy turned out to be?? Robert Sarver - the owner of the Suns and Mercury!

You know it's a good game when Robert bunny-ears your daughter! Haha

And jumps in to take a pic with them, to funny!!

These girls had a great time and practically shut the place down!!

Phoenix Mercury - Part 3

This game, the Mercury played the Sparks in LA, so Coach Mia Coached from the Couch. With her autographed basketball by all the players that Penny Taylor gave her. How sweet is Penny??

Ohhhhh man...it stinks to not b there in person to watch it, especially after you've been to a game!

There's DT3!!

You tell them Coach Sandy!! And I agree with everything you're saying...
