Mia's 128th Blood Transfusion

Oh my, this sweet girl...she had a rough morning. The first poke in her hand didn't work, so then we went to the antecubtial area of her arm, the IV was working fine but then she moved it and it was just at a funny angle...so then we stopped the blood flow and gave her a different IV in her hand we were trying to give it break from! Ugh, oh well.

After her hand IV she felt a lot better.

Mia is so thankful for people who take the time to donate blood, or she wouldn't be here.

Did we mention that she loves Taylor Swift?? Taylor's concert is coming next month August 17th and 18th and we are trying to get a meet and greet!! There has to be somebody who knows some way we could get Mia and her sisters to meet her even for 30 seconds. Never give up hope!

There will be a birthday blood drive on Mia's actual birthday September 19, 2015 in Tempe...there will also be a Septepmber Champ 5K walk/run for all the Arizona Children Cancer Charities...so come out and donate blood AND do BE THE MATCH!!!

Sigh.

Thanks for sharing your life blood donor.

Mia had a very special visit from Sharon, she works for United Blood Services and is very dear to our hearts.

She brought Mia a very special gift.

Perfect for the hospital or to work on at home...hopefully her sisters won't steal it!!

Mia sure perks up when there's bacon...bacon in grilled cheese, oh yummers!

#CoachMia says thank you to anyone who has done a cheek swab to see if they are a potential bone marrow match to her or someone like her! CLICK HERE for more info!

After her long hospital day...we did a quick interview for the news to get the story of Be The Match night at the next Phoenix Mercury game!! Thank you. CLICK HERE to watch the interview.

Camano Island Part 2

These girls got to visit with their little cousin Devee for a day while we were up in Washington. What fun times they had together.

Playing at the park...

Eating pizza on the front porch...in Seattle.

Say 'cheese!'

They played in the rain...

and tried to take a nap. Notice I said TRY. haha

We went to a great Sunday Service at Camano Chapel Church - Mia and I went there last year when we drove up from Arizona, it's a great church. We would attend there if we lived there.

We had to represent Be The Match while up in the Pacific Northwest!!

More beach time...priceless!

Throwing rocks...

My mum sis and I had a fabulous adult dinner at the Camano Island Inn without kids. Thanks girls for babysitting Devee so we could relax and enjoy time spent together.

We also had a little birthday cake for Devee and celebrated her 3rd birthday a week early! Yay!

Time to roast marsh mellows...

Yum

That fire looks hot!

Madi made a friend with a squirrel haha, she loves animals.

We packed a picnic at the beach at Camano Island state park...lovely!

This is why I wanted to go up...just to spend time with each other, you can never get that back!

I love these girls <#

Back to Cama Beach Cafe - because it was so good, and we had to go big or go home on our last day.

Madi got two of these special hot chocolates!!

Another walk into the woods...

Looks like a snap chat photo...

We had such a pretty walk

Madison loved her woods walk

The neighbor invited us over to have ice cream sundae's - yum!! He is a very big basketball fan and loves how the Mercury want to help Mia find a match! Thank you for you kindness Lynn and family.

We ordered up some some food to go have at the beach on our last night.

But first a little quick shopping in Stanwood.

Pizza on the beach for the girls - yes please - and oysters and chips for me and my mum.

Thank you mum for everything Duckie! We love you so much!!

Madi building her fort on the beach...time went to fast, we will look for that fort when we go back!

We can't wait to go back to Camano and have more adventures...it's beautiful up there and we are blessed to be able to visit.

Camano Island Part 1

These girls were too excited to get to go see their Grannie who lives on Camano Island up in Washington State...be prepared for some awesome photos!

We flew Allegiant on our Make A Wish trip two years ago so we thought we'd try flying to Bellingham instead of Seattle. It was great and a lot cheaper.

Arms up...just like a rollercoaster

They both fell asleep so that was nice.

Hello Duckie!!! How are you then?!

The first thing Madison said when we got to the beach was, 'Where's the sand?' Haha it's a different kind of beach in the Pacific Northwest!

They could just throw rocks in the water all day.

I love this...they had so much fun!

Messy hair / We don't care !!

Sunsets are so pretty from the deck.

Cama Beach /

The first morning we went to Cama Beach Cafe for a very yummy breakfast...

A breakfast with a view of the water...it's like a big tree house,

So much fun!

After breakfast we walked down to the camp grounds by the water.

What a neat place to camp with a view.

Madi the Mermaid

After Cama we drove down just a little bit to the Camano Island State park and walked along the trail on the cliffs over the water.

They have park benches along the way so you can enjoy the view...

Grannie loves her girls!!

Madi and I raced all the way down these really long steps, oh my what a great workout!

The tree's are so tall...it's just beautiful.

Of course we had to stop off at my favorite spot on Camano Island - the Camano Island Inn - if you need a wonderful place to stay, then stay here!!

These two...

I'm so happy they can picture where Grannie lives and they got to see Island living.
