Be The Match Telethon on TV

Mia + Madi got the chance to be on TV for ABC15 for a live telethon representing Be The Match - Mia could be potentially cured of Diamond Blackfan Anemia if she found a bone marrow match through the Be The Match registry, 

Good job girls!!

A dad and his daughters on Father's Day...Ashley had to work at the Coffee Shop - so we went and had breakfast together...well Ash had to work but she 'served' us. What a LUCKY guy....his daughters will take good care of him when he's older. <3 p="">

Mia's 126th transfusion

Derek & Julianne Hough + Sophie's Place

Ohhhhhh my goodness. I got a call from the hospital asking if Mia could attend a special 'thing' for Cardon Children's Medical Center for Monday night. They just told me a little bit about what it was about, for a very special new room called Sophie's Place which will be a special Music Therapy room for patients and families. We love our music therapist Angela Wibben...who rocks every time we see her. We usually sing T-Swift songs together although I think we did sing Sugar by Adam Levine last time!! haha. I said, girls...I'm taking you on a date so dress up...they had no idea where we were going.

We went up to the 3rd floor to the Forever Young Zone - which we love, and if you didn't know...Mia had her 100th transfusion party in this same room. It was amazing. The night began with people explaining what Sophie's Room is about...and then all of a sudden (can't believe I didn't get a pic of Mia and Madi's reaction...) Derek and Julianne Hough came in!!! Now, if anyone knows me at all, you know that I have watched every season of DWTS in my leg warmers. I can't explain it, it's just my thing I do. Just like how Matt watches football...and the super bowl...it's the equivalent to me watching Dancing with the Stars and seeing who wins the Mirror Ball trophy. My English Mum too. We just LOVE it beyond words. It's definitely an escape for me.

Madi grabbed my phone and said, mom...I'm taking a selfie with them. Kids these days...sheesh!

Haha...way too cute!! Madi was in heaven...she could not wait to post a photo on her instagram with them. She called first dibs...!

Literally could not thank them enough for doing this on such a short notice for the hospital that we LOVE and has kept Mia alive for 12 years...but to help raise awareness for the new plans for Sophie's Place. It truly will be amazing.

Last Year's  Move Live on Tour - July 2014 at Comerica Theatre - #TBT

We were very blessed by Camp Soaring Eagle who reached out to the GM Eric at the theatre and asked if Mia + 3 could be a special guest. Without hesitation he said of course! We also let us meet them!!

Shout out to Eric Larsen the GM for hooking up Miss Mia so we could go watch the Move Live on Tour show...amazing to see in person, if you haven't then you really should.!
