Move Live on Tour - Derek & Julianne Hough

We were so blessed with tickets to see Derek & Julianne Hough during their Move Live on Tour dance show at Comerica Theatre. (The day before school starts!)

We got 4 tickets...Mia wanted to bring Miss Arizona USA Jordan Wessel, and big sister Ashley.

Oh my gosh, it's something you have to see with your own eyes. They were amazing...and did you know, they both sing?! Sigh.

Thanks to Camp Soaring Eagle who gave us the tickets. They contacted Eric, the GM of Comerica, and he treated Mia like a VIP!

Thank you SO much Eric...you gave us some great memories. We will cherish them forever. Like the photos below...

How great is this one?? Look at Mia's expression on her face. Priceless!

I kept thinking, are we really meeting them?!

She gave them her autograph on a magazine...with Mia on the cover. Too cute!

There they are looking at it...Go Mia!!

I literally shoved Ashley over so I could stand next to Derek. (Haha)
Thank you God for this blessing, as I just love #DWTS

Mia's 112th transfusion

Wow, what a rough PORT/IV start this morning. Sally (Mia's port) was not cooperating with us at all today. It was not...good. After 2 port attempts and an iv try in each arm, we finally got an iv in her right hand started.

Whew...it took me back to the days when she was around 3 and 4 years old...with tears in her eyes.

Because Sally was being difficult...we had to go upstairs for a port study.

I'm telling you, Sally was horsing around with us!

Yeah we got a few stares going down the hallways...haha.

Time for the port study...Mia held still, and surprisingly her port was fine. It's just a funny shape.

When she got out of that, she had some visitors waiting to see her. Grandma, our neighbor Ken, and Madison. Visitors always make the day go by better.

You are very brave Mia, you really are.

It was a long day (7am- 5:45 pm) we went home and rested after that. One thin is for sure, God always gets us through. Thank you God for being there for us ad guiding us every step of the way.

Summer in New Port Beach

Our home away from home...at Paul's house in New Port Beach.

This never gets old! - The beach, water ... etc.

Plus it's really fun when you see your friends...at the beach. Or the bay.

Jump!

Girls and their phones...or in this case, their ipods.

So a yummy tradition we've started now is Uncle Cameron's spaghetti - and Uncle Paul's homemade meatballs.

Bibs on and ready to eat...

Yummers!!!

After dinner we rode the ferry from New Port to Balboa Island with friends. SO blessed to have the Keppel's and Smestad's joining us!

If you've never had an original balboa bar...you are missing out. You know it s amazing when every time you go the line is out the door...

Who likes ice cream?! This group does!

What I love about vacations are the little things...like having coffee with my older girls and listening to them talk and laugh, ugh love it. Alyssa kept asking to stay for 5 minutes because she was having so much fun.

Taking Paul's paddle board out...

Beautiful...sunny...perfect!

Madison is really a mermaid. She never came out of the water...

Madison was happy just to play on the paddle board, even on the beach.

Happy 4th of July...my kids and their friend made it into the neighborhood parade! We are officially New Port peeps now!

Note to self: bring lots more decorations for Madison's bike.

They had so much fun!

We didn't see the for a while...haha, they went the whole route of the hood.

Beachy

4th of July!

Um girls...can you seriously get off the 3 story roof???!

Mia with her HERO cape, a gift from Sharon at UBS. She wore it proud.

So cute.

If Paul had a daughter...it would be Madison. They are two peas in a pod.

She absolutely loves 'Uncle Paul' very much.

Family 4th of July pic on the beach!

Our girls...there's so many of them!
We had the best time with our huge group...grilling, beach, and fireworks!

Miss Arizona 2013 Jennifer Smestad even came to see us! We love her, she sang the National Anthem for us too, she's the best!

Mia and Miss Arizona <3 p="">

Time for fireworks!! California style!

It was pretty awesome...

Jumping to the fireworks!!

Riding the Ferry to Balboa Island...

Literally the best chocolate covered strawberries I've ever had...right when you get off
the ferry on Balboa Island.

Can't go wrong with chocolate and strawberries!!

Surfer stores...My mom thinks I'm rad. Totally Alyssa...because you are!

Of course we had to stop by and get a balboa bar...it's a tradition now!

Haha Ashley on her phone...someone needs to take it from her!

One of Mia's favorite things to do in New Port is see little Buck!!
She just loves him so much!

Walking back from dinner n Balboa to take the Ferry to New Port.

Alyssa cruising on Uncle C-Dog's awesome surfboard-skate board!

We really wanted to see the Wedge before we left, but didn't have enough time. Next time Uncle C-Dog!
