Mia's 125th Blood Transfusion

Mia's counts were lower than expected at her doctor appointment on Thursday (hgb 9.1) we wanted to try and wait til Memorial Day but POTC is off that day. Notice Mia's Be Brave shirt she wore to her doctor appointment...the nice ladies at the Tomkat Studio wanted her to have it, so they gave it to her! Ugh, so sweet. The kindness of people who hear Mia's story.

This is me expecting to pay for her awesome shirt and Tami who works there said 'absolutely not!'

Mia rocked her Taylor Swift Bad Blood shirt during her transfusion the next day. #125

Again, as always...thank you to blood donors, without you Mia wouldn't be here.

Smile!

Chilling at the hospital - ohhhh Taylor Swift!

Waiting for dad to get to the hospital to have lunch with us.

Mia brought along her selfie stick to the hospital for some fun with her nurses!!

Too cute!!! We love you all!

Mia even got a Dutch Bros iced chocolate milk...yummers!

I would do anything for you to keep you healthy and alive Mia!! Love you.

When you bust out of the hospital and put the top down to you car and sing all they way home with the wind blowing in your hair. YES!! Thank you God for being with us today. Forever grateful for LIFE that you give us.

Be The Match - MP High School

We love helping our friends at the Be The Match - by sharing Mia's story of her need for a bone marrow transplant to potentially cure her of DBA, we feel more people will want to help. High School students don't get enough credit...they do want to help society...they just need help in finding ways to help.

Like these awesome folks!!

Mia signed these volunteers right up herself!

Mia's story sure touches a lot of people.

These girls not only volunteered at the booth at Mountain Pointe High School, but they did the cheek swab as well!!

ABC15 News came as well...but we never could find this story.

Thank you to all the kids at MP for potentially saving a life!!

A very nice lady named Marina gave Mia her selfie stick!!! LOL oh my goodness!!

D'Backs Race Against Cancer - BeThe Match

We volunteered to help Be The Match at the 3rd annual Race Against Cancer 5K...

Mia with her poster...people were interested in her story! So we sent them to sign up for Be The Match :)

Silly girl!

Aubrie playing true or false...Be The Match is awesome...TRUE!

Good times...

This sweet lady wanted to pray for Mia...she was from the donate life booth...she lost her son and he donated all his organs and saved lives. Amazing!

Rodrigo the volunteer was awesome! Him and Mia make a great team...way too funny!

Hoping to make the D'Backs video :)

Be the match at the D'Backs!

Too cute

Gotta love the Big Heads!

Cool edits from Rodrigo!!

After the 5K booth...we snuck into the U.S. airways center to watch the Male practice squad try-outs for the Mercury.
Matt (Mia's dad) was going to but couldn't make the time. Mia was super bummed...she's wondering, where's my dad???!

It was still fun to watch but we're sure he could have thrown down some serious basketball ... even with his greying beard.

Hopefully next time Mia dad can make it!
