England - Oxford

I really really really wanted to see Oxford while we were there, it was actually rally close to where we were staying. We took a bus in because the traffic in is horrible.

My Uncle did go with us but didn't last very long because we looked like tourists!! Haha! 

Oh look, a gross red phone booth...I couldn't go inside the smell was awful.

A very good 'tourist' shop in Oxford...loved it! I got Alyssa's hat here...maybe that will help her to think about going to school in Oxford??

Most of the campuses were closed...but the buildings were so neat just to look at.

I just have something for the doors in England, they are so different from America. Plus anything in Oxford is really old, ugh...love it.

I literally thought I would see Harry Potter and his school mates walk out of here...they probably did I just missed seeing them.

Lots of bikes...definitely cheaper than gas, or petroul as they call it.

Radcliff Square was really neat...I think it's a library now. You had to have a pass to get in, darn it.

Time for some tea!! This place is right in the church...it's beautiful so we sat outside.

I would never get tired of that! We caught the bus back to Dinton...where myUncle picked us up in time for a lovely pub dinner.

We went back to the Old Fisher Man Pub for some Fish N Fizz.

Yes, it was as good as it looks!!! Fish in England is the best, maybe Seattle too.

England - London

We are after all in England, so we did decide to go to London for 1 day...since we were there. Yes! We took the train from Haddenham to London and caught one of those red bus tours. Does that mean we are tourists now??

Yes, we are the only people up top because it started to rain...as soon as we sat down, Oh my goodness it was freezing but we had the best time just looking at everything.

Mum, do you have a brolley?? It's raining.

The rain doesn't stop us though!

I must say the traffic in London is horrible...lol

They put a new piece of art up there every 2 months or so...

Trafalgar square...very popular spot for tourists. If you feed the pigeons you get fined a ton of money...so no pigeons were there, usually there are hundreds of them.

I think the tour said, the only lion laying down...because the artist used his dogs body and put a lions head on it, or something like that. Interesting.

We've never done the London eye...I've heard at night it's wonderful.

We found a Starbucks by the Tower of London...well, we went there last time, and plus I knew they'd have wifi...soooooo, yeah. I tried to meet up with my cousin Matt but we were on the other side...darn it! Next time!

Every where I go I seem to find a Starbucks...haha. The sun came out just for a quick second.

The big building is called the Shard, it's very high up...I'll have to do that next time too. I bet the view is amazing.

One thing we didn't do was take the under ground train...but we did do that five years ago when my sister came with us!

Big Ben is actually the bell in the clock tower...

I love the River Thames, it flows right through London...you must see it with your own eyes!

England - Thame

My mom and I flew to England...as soon as we got off the plane, her brother Paul & my cousin Sara were waiting for us!! Duckies!!!!

Alright mum, ready to drive then? On the wrong side of the road?? 

We had a lovely English tea put on by Paul's wife Judith...with a yummy fruit cake. She should definitely have her own bed and breakfast, I would highly recommend it to my 'American' friends!

Let's not forget about the to die for dessert...yum!!! Thank you Judith!

We stayed in this little cottage B & B in Dinton...

It was ok, very interesting...I think we would both rather have stayed at the Spread Eagle Hotel in Thame but that's ok, next time! It was an experience.

One of my favorite stops is Costa / Coffee / It's a must and a tradition!

Oh how we missed you Costa!

Alright, lets do this...coffee in hand, heading to the once a week market on Tuesdays.

I haven't been in here yet so next time I want to check it out,,,it's SO pretty on the outside, very English indeed.

We popped in here for a pub lunch with my uncle Paul (our wonderful driver!)

The pub is set on a river with tables outside.

I still have my hat on...haha.

Then we went and saw my Grannie!! She is doing very well, she is 93 years young. Oh how I love her so much! It's always so good to see her.

Oh my goodness the wind made it so chilly!

But the views up on Brill on the Hill are amazing.
