Mia's 93rd blood transfusion

Mia had fun in the hospital this time because
her big sister Ashley came with us.
We are getting ready for the trip of a LIFE TIME,
and actually her counts were pretty decent...
but we didn't want to be all the way in paradise
and have something happen, or for Mia to not
feel good on her special trip...
so we gave her only 1 unit of blood
this time instead of 2.
Wow what a quick day it was!!

I (Finally!) Got My Braces Off!!!

After about 16 months of braces...and looking
like a teenager, I finally got them off!!
It was a long road, but a road well worth traveled.
My teeth had just bothered me for years!
I never had braces as a teenager,
so I thought, why not?!
Ashley had them and her teeth are great!
Click here to see more about why I wanted
to get braces.

Here's a selfie after I got them off...
(you know I have kids when I use the word: selfie.)
I'm smiling, and smiling BIG!

Here is the wonderful staff at Crossroads Orthodontics
the day I got them off. Seriously, if you live
in the Chandler/Gilbert area I highly reccomend them.
They are fantastic, and they wear crazy socks,
how fun is that?!

Another pic of the staff, and the front desk ladies,
who BTW are VERY nice.
Dr. Foster (on the right) was great.
It's awkward having a cute doc look in your mouth.
And he's probably upset with me that
I didn't wear my bands as much as I was supposed to.
Oops.

So this very moment as I'm typing this,
I'm getting ready to use the whitener.
Notice it says, 'Zoom.'
I'm SO excited.
Goodbye Austin Powers.
(Except for the hair but I'll work on that.)
This has been a long time coming...
I am beyond excited and happy with the way
my teeth have turned out!
Thank you SO much Crossroads Ortho!!
I really appreciate it, especially that I got my
braces off in time for Mia's Make-A-Wish trip!
That will be another blog post!
