Thanksgiving

We decided not to have anything that resembled chicken or a turkey the day before Thanksgiving...so we went out for some Mexican food...with C-Dog, aka Uncle Cameron from California. The girls were SO excited that he came over for some Turkey.

Thanksgiving Day - I'm very blessed and thankful for my family. I love them beyond words and would do anything for them.

'Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever.'
1 Chronicles 16:34

I'm also thankful for my husband...who loves our family like no other. Very blessed to have him be the father of my children. #blessed

The Pageant - Miss Arizona Teen USA

T

I help do social Media for Scott's Training Systems aka STS - which is where I met ALL the Miss Arizona's & Miss Arizona USA's because Scott sponsors their fitness and trains them all. He's the BEST by the way so make sure to check out his website, literally one of THEE most positive people I know!! This photo of us was the day before the pageant...last chance workout!

I dropped off my child at the Marriot hotel in Mesa and left her for the weekend like this...next time I see her, she'll be competing on the stage. My oldest baby girl.

Our family absolutely loves these girls...Savannah was amazing as the Miss Arizona Teen USA and she got to model for Sherri Hill! Jordan will always be Miss Arizona USA to us, she did so many things for Mia and her blood drive boot camps at STS, plus happily visited Mia in the hospital. LOVE her so much.

The first event of the weekend was a fashion show...so we all dressed up and made a date out of it with Alyssa.

We went to Vintage 95 on our way to the fashion show.

Waiting for Miss Chandler teen...Ashley!

We got to hang out with the girl for a little while...

Even though these girls competed against each other...they made some great friends!

Ashley loves her Savvy...Savannah.

Oh my gosh...LOVE this especially he fedora hat. Classic Photo!

Oh Jordan I just love you, oh yeah you too Ashley. haha

Oh my turn with the hat...haha.

Red was the color theme for the fashion show - very Taylor Swift-ish.

PRELIMINARY Competition - Saturday Night

We used it as a date night (because tickets are so expensive!) We went to some great little Mexican food place in downtown Mesa...yummers!

I never can pass up a good Photo opp!

Here we go...waiting to see Ashley on the stage. No matter what, we knew we'd be so proud and supportive of her.

Every time I hear the song 'Steal My Girl' by One Direction, I can't help but tear up...she walked out to that song. (Oh hey boys in real life, you're not going to steal our girl from us. Unless you know Jesus. Just saying.) She sure looks beautiful...

She really looked like she was glowing...

We met Ashley at the hotel after prelims for a few minutes...she did so great!

Her confidence was amazing...because you could not pay me to stand on a stage in my bathing suit!!

Our little Miss Chandler Kate did amazing too! We love her!!

FINALS - Sunday Night

Who are Ashley's biggest fans?? Her sisters of course!!

And Grandma...!!

Oh my goodness, who is in that magazine!!?? Why it's Ashley...
We always love seeing the other Miss Arizona's from the Miss America Pageant.

We love Alexa Rogers - Miss Arizona 2014 & Jennifer Smestad Miss Arizona 2013.

The girls wore white opening number dresses...my mom sponsored Ashley and bought her a very precious Sherri Hill gown. It's so pretty and classy. Go Miss Chandler Teen!

She made it to the top 13!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!

Then she made it to top 5! Oh my goodness...we were freaking out! She just looked so confident and she was literally glowing. (on the right)

Here come the Questions...

She was the last picked and got the question: How would you describe what true beauty is? You can listen to it below:

Ashley you won to us by staying true to yourself and your faith!! Tears...we love you! Ashley ended up as the 3rd runner up - for a first time pageant ever. WOW. Amazing. You worked so hard. It paid off for sure!

Ashley's official head shot...

We waited for her after...

We were all so happy for her...she did amazing!

Bring it in...sister hug!

Ash your sisters love you and will always be your biggest fans, they sure look up to you.

Your family will always love and support you no matter what! We are beyond proud of you for putting yourself out there, and anyways...you already won to us!!

Mia's 117th Blood Transfusion

Mia's port accessed (Sally) and it was good to go!

Especially with the help of some awesome nurses.

Of all things, Mia picked out a book. Aww, way to go Mia.

Had to get some cute photos in her dress and boots...

So stylish and cute, even in the hospital!

Thanks to our neighbor Ken for bringing Mia a gift - her boots. He knew she REALLY wanted them so it was an early Christmas gift. So thoughtful.

We are especially grateful to blood donors...for this Thanksgiving.

We are huge fans of Tito Ortiz for helping us with Mia's blood drive last August, thank you SO much! We will never forget the nice things people do for us.

Speaking of nice things that people o for us, we LOVE Ben and Aubrey York...and we are truly blessed to know them.

Shout out to Mia's friend Alex, she loves her so much!

And a fellow hospital buddy Cienne...who she travels to camp with .

We had an ASU student reach out to us to complete a video project and wanted to use Mia's story, via United Blood Services...so cool! They even got a chance to film Mia during her actual transfusion, which of course makes for a great visual. Thanks Jill!!

Mia you are definitely brave for telling your story AND living it. Love you so much!

Aww the #princessproject was around the hospital and they stopped in to see Princess Mia for a few minutes. Beautiful! That wraps up Mia's #117.
