Coming through...

Mia is heading into surgery to remove Sally, her port, She chose to rock her Phoenix Mercury shirt to wear to and from the hospital. She loves that basketball team!

She literally just goes with the flow...no matter what is going on. She puts her faith and trust in the Lord, as he directs her steps. 

After getting changed into her hospital gown...she's set for surgery. She also brought along Russell Wilson - from the Seattle Seahawks (dad is a huge fan!) after all it is Super Bowl 49 time.

Thankful for nice nurses! 

Recovery was quick...she really wasn't back there for very long. Sweet girl.

Russell got to go back with her too, maybe in a few years - when Mia is tired of getting pokes...she can get another port. We'll have to think about a different name!

Make A Wish - As You Wish

Mia was invited by Make A Wish for a fun morning of pottery painting for the Make A Wish ball and auction.

For the auction, Mia painted a dog bowl...

It turned out great!! Way to go Mia, she wanted to bring it home for her dog Fred.

We can go back and make another one??

Look who surprised Mia in the hospital...Scorch from the Phoenix Mercury basketball team! SO sweet...Mia was so surprised! Holding hands...so sweet.

 

He even let her hold the Championship Trophy the Mercury won!

 

Put your feet up Scorch and while we're at it lets get your blood pressure too.

Then my sweet friend Masha came and gave Mia a little Mani - how thoughtful!

 

Dad came...sporting a Phoenix Suns shirt...because you have no idea how awesome the Suns & Mercury have been to our family, represent!

 

Throwing it back to our roots...both Matt and I grew up in Seattle, I was born in Kirkland, WA graduated from Friday Harbor High School - Matt graduated from Interlake High, and then graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma - we both moved to California and that's where we met and have been together ever since! So yeah, Matt also loves his Washington teams!

 

We all love Russell Wilson - as you can tell. Mia has his doll, she got him for Christmas. Matt has his jersey...fans!

 

#StrongAgainstCancer - it's a thing Russell Wilson does. We'd do anything for Super Bowl tickets - but they cost as much as buying a new car...so, it probably will never happen. Miracles do happen though, you never know!

 

My sweet friends showed up and brought us all kinds of goodies...thanks ladies!!

Mia was really excited to see Landon aka Shaboy - never mind her big sis Ashley...haha. SO sweet of everyone to come and support Mia. We are so blessed to have so many people love on us, pray for us, and just be there for us. #BLESSED - Thank you!

Mia and Molly - the volunteer therapy dog that comes to the hospital every Monday to see kids like Mia.

What would kids do these days without technology to keep them busy in the hospital?? One of the reasons why we love PeppedUp so much!

Mean while...lets pass the time by making some signs...in honor of the Seahawks!!
