Thanksgiving Happenings

We spent Thanksgiving in Tucson with Matt's parents - Pam & Dennis. We drove down after school on Wednesday to beat the rain. It was a great time, the kids enjoyed the rain for a change and we woke up to thunder on Thursday morning. It did clear up enough for a quick family picture outside...

Some of the fun festivities including a few games of bingo...Mia read off the numbers.

Ashley helped this year by chopping fruit for the fruit salad.

Ready to eat...yum!

These toothpicks are really cool...

We left early on Friday to head back home for Ashley's Thanksgiving soccer tournament in Tempe. One of the dad's got some great pictures of her...thanks Gary! Go # 3!

Ashley's Awesome Goal! - Left footed while falling down...

Ashley's feet sticking out after being flattened...

Yes, the girl on the Sereno team has a broken arm...

Way to go Ashley...that truly was an awesome goal! She also had a great assist too...the Legacy girls won 2-0 this game...they sure know how to work as a team.

Another tradition at the McPoland household is to pull out the Christmas tree and decorate it the day after Thanksgiving. Here are each of the girls holding their favorite ornaments, with the help of McKinley, one of Mia's Bff's.

Happy Thanksgiving McPoland Family!! I'm so glad you guys had a great time and relaxed. How fun for Pam & Dennis to have you'all there. It's so much fun to see each other's blogs and see what is going on.(I love board games and food too.)
Good Job Ashley, and a goal with your left foot?! Very impressive.

Love,
