I really wanted Matt & Ashley to come early...so they came
Thursday after school and made it that night so we could
have all day Friday to hang out...at the beach!
Laguna Beach...
The absense makes the heart grow fonder...
Matt with his new toy...
Madison wanted to give it a try...it took a few
test tries but she got the hang of it.
Go Madi!
Matt's turn...
I love watching them just play...it's so fun.
After Laguna beach...we hopped over to Uncle Cameron's
house and then drove over to New Port Beach
where Paul lives. We've known Paul for years,
since the Los Gatos days.
We walked to the original BJ's Brewery for Pizza.
Oh my, was it good! Ok and a bazookie...um, yum!
Then, because we were right there...we hopped on the
ferry to Balboa island to try a Balboa Bar..why not??!
The line for this ice cream place was long...
But it was well worth the wait...our kids were in heaven.
2 desserts?? (They were probably wondering...score!)
Because mom and dad say no....but Paul says YES!
Haha...thank you so much Paul for everything, and
Uncle Cameron too!
Looks like a very intense discussion on what ice
cream to get. Paul would know, he's the expert.
We didn't get home til about 11:30 pm or so...
poor Madi was SO tired. We got up at 6 am to get
Ashley to her soccer tournament...and Madi got in the
car and fell asleep for 3 more hours! Whew...
at least I know this girl likes to stay up late and eat
special ice cream treats. Good to know for future reference!
