Mia's 62nd blood transfusion was good. She was REALLY pale and tired, her Hgb was 8.0 -lower than we normally let her get before a transfusion. She was NOT feeling good, even at the Hopewalk. I can't believe she mustered up enough energy to even walk a little ways...but if you were there, then you saw lots of kids with sheer determination to make it through the Hopewalk.
It took 2 pokes to get her IV started. Mia said, 'why are the needles sharp today?' Awww, they always are.
Matt dropped off Madison around 8:30 am when everything was under way. They kept each other company.
Madison brought her tea party set...and they played with that for a little while.
Mia painted Miss Christine's fingernails...can you tell she's enthused?! Haha! At least it comes off with nail polish remover.
Mia did drew some pictues on a wipe-off board...
Madison took a much needed nap.
Meet Spencer -

Madison wore her princess shoes...she likes to wear those everywhere. Even if they hurt her feet.

Mia took out her own IV again...

Mia met Spencer, and they played the Wii together. They played Mario Kart...one of our favorite Wii games. I must say, Spencer is a pretty good driver.

Mia had fun with Spencer, they sure laughed a lot. He had a really cool Prince of Persia knife...and he let Mia play the Wii with him. What a sweet boy.It was a good day, and friends always make the day more fun.
