Friday Night Lights

We attended another HopeKids event tonight, a football game at Hamilton High School! GO HUSKIES! They played against their rivals: the Chandler Wolves.

To start the evening off Hopekids had a tailgate party. Each of the girls got to bring a friend to hang out with. Mia brought her BFF McKinley, Alyssa brought her soccer pal Katherine, and Ashley brought her Jr. High friend Valerie.

They first wanted to get some painting done...Mia went for the hand instead of her face, but McKinley braved it.

Matt brought along his little brother Zach, he had a great time.

Ethan and his sister Brooke were there as well.

The Husky came by for a visit...(notice Madison in the background.)

After the tailgating party, we headed over to the field. They had special bleachers for HopeKids families right in the end zone. It was SO cool. I can't believe Madison didn't run onto the field.

Matt and Zach went to put some stuff in the car and on the way back, some high school boys 'painted' Zach...AWESOME!

HopeKids and their friends & families got to run thru the big Husky Helmet at the start of the game. Here are Mia and McKinley waiting for the football players to run thru, yeah...they're doing some moves.

Bone Marrow Donor Registry

I've always wanted to be on the registry for donating bone marrow, but never knew where or how to do it. I ran into Ashley's 1st grade teacher...Mrs. Schultz! I didn't want to go by myself so we both went to check out how you can be a donor, and LOOK who we found working the table...

...the same awesome teachers from Fulton who went on the HopeKids walk! Wow...they truly are thee best ever. You gals rock!

Both rival schools Hamilton and Chandler started collecting change on Monday through today. In five school days, they collected $3,950 - some dollars. WOW! Amazing...the school presented it to HopeKids. It was so great.

It started raining pretty hard, for Arizona, so Mia decided she wanted to go home. On our way out, we were interviewed by Jody Jackson on the track for Fox Sports Arizona. Mia and McKinley said, 'can we borrow your microphone?' Yep, talking, would be the perfect job for these girls. Apparantly one of Matt's friend's saw me being interviewd and texted him saying, your wife was on tv. LOL! IT was an amazing evening...thanks so much for everyone's hard work to put on such an amazing event for HopeKids. They all had a blast!

Matt stayed up til 1:00 am watching the game being played on FS Arizona just so he could record the interview. Awwwww, thanks honey.
