Make A Wish - Part 1

 

On December 16th, 2012 Mia got to 'Make A Wish.'

Our wish granters, Marianne and Veronica

came to our house as a surprise...

Mia was SO excited.

They brought her favorite: Popcorn!

And other gifts.

 

Mia happens to be a huge One Direction fan.

So we sat down (while eating pizza!)

and they asked Mia, SO - if you could have 3

wishes...what would they be?

In order she picked:

 

#1. Meet & sing with Taylor Swift

(we looked at each other puzzled,

where did that come from?!)

#2. Go to Hawaii

#3. Go on a cruise

 

(On a side note - we thought she would have

picked to meet One Direction. So the Taylor

Swift thing threw us off!!!)

 

Her wish granters said ARE YOU SURE

that's what you WISH for??

 

And Mia said, Well I REALLY want to go to Hawaii.

So she switched it to #1.

 

(She still would love to meet Taylor swift though.)

 

 

They even brought things for her sisters, how sweet!

 

They also brought her a huge stuffed dog

which she named snowball.

She sleeps with it every night.

 

Thank you Make A Wish for making this possible

for families like us.

 

And thank you Veronica and Marianne

for volunteering to be wish granters.

The Bon Voyage Party at Islands Burgers

 

We went to a fun 'send off party' at the Islands Burgers

in Paradise Valley, YUM!! It was so good!

 

 

It's a luau at Islands Burgers...with:

Our family, some friends, Mia's wish granters, 

my mom and Mia's teacher Ms. Conti.

 

Mia brought her friend Mia... (so cute!)

There were more fun presents...

 



 

Which is always fun!

Mia tried it out, she's a natural.

 

Even the manager John, he was great.

 

She loved it.

A SURPRISE party...

Mia's SURPRISE Make A Wish send off from her School!

Mia truly has the best teacher EVER.

Ms. Conti sent Mia to pass out papers

to all her previous teachers...

they each put a lei around her neck and told her

to have fun in Hawaii.

Secretly, her class set up the classroom with a

after delivering all the papers...

there was a party going on!

Surprise! The best part is,

she had NO idea!

How cute.

They really got into the Hawaiian theme!

I just cannot believe how sweet and kind

Mia's classmates are to my girl.

Thank you Ms. Conti - you are the most

thoughtful teacher in the world, to make it so

special for Mia! We are so blessed to have you

in Mia's life, thank you!

The party is still going on!

She's just about ready for her trip to Hawaii now!

Another cute thing, is they included

two of Mia's sisters to be at the party as well.

How sweet!!!

Mia's class also had something up their sleeves...

on the last day of school before spring break

her teacher gave her this packet.

'Do Not Open' until you are on the plane.

Ohhhhh the suspense!!

The Final Meeting - it's getting REAL!

 



 

We met Marianne & Veronica at Paradise Bakery to go over

all the final details, and to get all of our information.

There's lots to go over, and questions...thank goodness

for these very special ladies who helped us!!

 

Mia's Grannie got her a special suit case for her

specail make a wish trip! She loves it, (and it was perfect!)

plus she can use it when she goes to camp.

 



 

We got a few boxes in the mail before we left.

The wish granters, Marianne and Veronica are so sneaky!

 

They sent us everything we could possibly need...
tooth brushes, sun screen, lotion, gum - you name it,
and it was in that box!!
Can I just say, 'Oh My Gosh!'
THANK YOU!

 

Then there was this bag...a party on the plane bag.

Another suspense...waiting to see what's in it.

 

 

FINALLY after months of planning...the morning arrived

for us to leave. We are packed and ready to go -

sorry Humphrey, we can't take you with us!!
