Visiting England

With a little less than 3 days notice, my mom and I hopped on a plane and flew to England to see my Grandparents. Wow what a long flight! I'm half asleep in this picture. The last time we went to England was about 2 1/2 years ago for my cousin Sarah's wedding. The picture below is a photo I took of my Grannie and Grandpa the last time I was there.

Aren't they the sweetest couple ever?! They have been married for 70 years. Let me say it again, 70 years!!! Bless them...they have to be with each other. They just love each other so much. My Grandpa has been in the hospital...so we went to see him. He loved seeing us! His face so so surprised to see us when we walked into his room. What a blessing it was to see my Grandparents. Time is so valuable!!! The rest of the photos are what we did before or after our visits everyday with my Grannie and Grandpa.

Every Tuesday the market comes to town, you can find fresh baked goodies and all sorts of things. By the way, it was so cold.

Haha...too funny. I wonder what Americans would say?

Do you want to know where the BEST coffee in the world is?? This is it, in Thame, England.

You know how I LOVE my coffee, italian coffee that is...plus they had free wifi. They have everything in Costa! We went here a lot too.

This is my cousin Sarah's daughter Rose. Isn't she the cutest little thing you have ever seen?? Her eyes are SO blue. I'm so upset I didn't get a photo with Sarah (or my cousin Matthe!)...next time!!!

Walking around Thame...

Walking off all the food and calories...to make room for more food and calories. Rinse and repeat!

Toad in the hole at Judith's Pub (My Uncle's house)...delish!! And for dessert it was Apple Crumble with clotted cream. Oh how tasty.

Just saying...these fish & chips are the BEST. Matt would have loved it! Next time honey we're eating here! - More food.

We took a trip to Burford in the Cotswolds. It was such a neat thing to be able to do. One of my favorite places we went to. Thanks to my Uncle Paul for driving us, especially with the price of Petrol!

If you ever go to England, make sure you take a trip to Burford and see the Cotswalds. It's very old and wonderful, like stepping into a movie!

I LOVE the houses that have thatched roofs. Beautiful!

It was so fun just to walk around Thame's town center and go into all the little shops and people watch.

My Grandparents flat is to the right, so we walked this street everyday. I love the houses down this street.

Beware of crossing the roads...they drive crazy and don't stop for pedestrians over there!

My mom's brother Steve, his wife Ingrid...and their 2 girls Imogen and Melissa. (Sean was still sleeping at his University - lol!)

We had a lovely dinner here our last night with Paul and Judith...Fish & Chips with Mushy Peas...YUM! It was the best. We are so thankful to Paul and Judith for all the driving around, meals and time spent with them while visiting my Grandparents.

What a BLESSING to go on this trip with my mom. It just reminds me of how you spend your time, it's so important - and you never get that time back.
