Mia's 111th blood transfusion...with her Kindle Fire given to her from PeppedUP! Thanks Ron...total boredom buster for sure!!!
This sweet girl Megan, an intern at the Walter Kronkite broadcasting school came and did a super great interview. She even got me talking (thank goodness I straightened my hair that morning!)
Getting set up...
We love our friends from United Blood Services Arizona - what would we do without them?! They always help us at all our media events. Especially Sue, Jane and Sharon!! My girls!
What a burger came to see her. They donated free burgers to all who donated at a recent blood drive. SO sweet...and we tweeted a thank you, it got over 100 retweets and over 4oo favorites. (Just saying.)
In all honestly, we really appreciate blood donors. What would anyone do without them? What wold Mia do with out them?
And then more news crews showed up. I'm super thankful to God for allowing us to help others with Mia's story. I pray her life touches people to give life to others. Sounds like what God did for us.
Megan was so sweet to us!! Thank you SO much, I'll tweet you if the Today Show picks us up! Below is the story she put together: (so currently it's not working...)
In other Mia news, there was a super cool article written about her in Healthy Cells Magazine. You MUST read it if you haven't already! Mia found her sweet friend Jordan on the cover of a different magazine...TWINS!
Mia holding her magazine, she spent the day autographing them to her nurses, doctors, and friends. Haha, what about me?!
Then, Mia got a blanket from the Linus Project...ugh LOVE. It's really cool around the edges, someone took the time to crochet it. Thank you to people who do stuff like that. The kindness of strangers.
The day got better, Mia had a visit form former Miss Arizona, Jennifer. We love her, she seriously is so sweet it's not even funny!
We love her! Thanks Jennifer for taking the time to always visit her, she always looks forward to it each and every time!
