A Trip to the Zoo

First stop...Starbucks of course! We took a little family trip to the zoo (minus Ashley) to walk off some of that turkey dinner the night before.

Alyssa and Maddy really wanted to see the elephants...

Then it was time for the petting zoo...

...which was stinky!

After riding a horse at summer camp, Mia now wants horse lessons. Sigh.

The Phoenix Zoo is amazing because you really can get close and see all the animals. This is Matt's favorite spot. He fits in with tall things.

Madison wanted to see the Zebra's...since she's been watching the movie Racing Stripes.

Sting Ray Bay...Madison wasn't so sure about this. She came out of there with a big scratch and said, 'mom, the sting ray stinged me.'

We had a great time walking around the zoo. It was perfect weather to be outside and burn off those Thanksgiving calories.
